Our Mission

…to unite Knoxville's houses of worship to Display Love, Preach Love, & Serve with Love to empower our neighbors of all faith backgrounds to positively impact our community through service and spirit.

Our Values

Love. Inclusivity. Service. Community.

What does Love Your Neighbor do?

Simply, we (a diverse, inter-faith collection of Knoxville houses of worship) unite every February to spread love in our community to remind our neighbors that we have more in common than not and that everyone is worthy of being loved.

How do we do it?

Display Love

Our House of Worship partners and Knoxville citizens display banners or signs with the Love Your Neighbor Knox message. Seeing a unified message through our community makes a big impact!

Preach Love

Our House of Worship partners agree to preach messages of love throughout the month of February. We encourage people who might not have a faith community to visit one (or many) of our partner Houses of Worship throughout the month and beyond to be a part of our Love initiative.

Serve with Love

Starting in 2024, we are encouraging our partner Houses of Worship to join us for a community-wide service project. This year, we are loving our neighbors by collecting food for Second Harvest Food Bank during their slowest season of the year.

In 2024, we are partnering with Second Harvest Food Bank to add a service element to our Love Your Neighbor initiative. Join us as we collect food to stock the shelves for our hungry neighbors during Second Harvest’s slowest season of the year.
